1 秉权者、众宜服之、因无权非由于上帝、诸权皆上帝所命也、

2 故与秉权者抗、乃拒上帝命、拒者自取鞫也、

3 盖有司非行善者所畏、乃行恶者所畏耳、尔欲弗畏权、惟行善则得其褎、

4 盖彼为上帝之役、于尔有益、尔若行恶则畏之、以其非徒佩剑、乃为上帝之役、以怒加诸行恶者、

5 故须服之、不第因怒、亦因良心也、

6 是以尔亦输税、盖彼乃上帝之有司、恒执斯役、

7 所宜与者与之、税则纳之、征则输之、当畏则畏之、当敬则敬之、○

8 勿歉于人、惟以相爱为歉、盖爱人者尽乎律也、

9 如曰勿淫、勿杀、勿窃、勿贪、抑或他诫、皆一言以蔽之、曰爱邻如己、

10 夫爱不为害于邻、故爱也者、律之尽也、○

11 缘此、知时已届、今宜自寐以寤、盖我侪得救、较初信时为尤近、

12 夜既央、昼伊迩、我侪宜脱暗昧之行、而服光明之甲、

13 行宜庄正、如于白昼、勿荒宴而沈湎、勿冒色而邪侈、勿争鬬而媢嫉、

14 惟主耶稣基督是服、毋为形躯是图、以纵其欲、
