1 Ilizwi awalithethayo uYeremiya umprofeti kuBharuki unyana kaNeriya, ekuwabhaleni kwakhe encwadini la mazwi, ephuma emlonyeni kaYeremiya, ngomnyaka wesine kaYoyakim unyana kaYosiya, ukumkani wakwaYuda, lalisithi,

2 Utsho uYehova, uThixo kaSirayeli, kuwe, Bharuki, ukuthi, Wena uthi, Athi ke mna!

3 Ngokuba uYehova wongeza isingqala kumvandedwa wam; ndidiniwe kukuncwina kwam, andifumani kuphumla.

4 Yithi ke kuye, Utsho uYehova ukuthi, Yabona, into endiyakhileyo ndiyayigungxula, into endiyityeleyo ndiyayinyothula; lihlabathi lonke ke elo.
