1 （可拉裔之诗使伶长歌之○）万民其听之、普世居民、其倾耳兮、

2 尊卑贫富之人、偕听之兮、

3 我口惟智慧是言、我心以明哲为念、

4 必倾耳听喻言、鼓琴解秘语兮、

5 患难之日、邪恶追迫我踵、我何惧兮、

6 恃其货财、夸其富足者、

7 莫能赎其昆弟、为付赎金于上帝、

8 俾其永存不朽、盖其生命、赎价甚重、永久无成兮、

9 见上节

10 彼必见智者死、愚者蠢者偕亡、其财遗于他人兮、

11 其心以为家室恒存、第宅留至万代、遂以己名名其地兮、

12 人居尊位、不能久长、犹死亡之畜兮、

13 斯乃愚人之道、而后人犹韪其言兮、

14 彼如群羊、定其归于阴府、死亡为其牧者、迨及黎明、正人治之、彼之美丽、销于阴府、无地以存兮、

15 惟上帝必纳我、赎我魂于阴府之权兮、○

16 人殖货财、门庭炫赫、尔毋惧兮、

17 因其临没、毫无所携、彼之尊荣、不随之往兮、

18 彼生存时、自庆其福、尔若利己、人则庆之兮、

19 然彼归其历代之祖、永不见光兮、

20 人居尊位、而不通达、犹死亡之畜兮、
